The IPL 2026 Auction, scheduled for 16 December 2025 at 2:30 PM IST in Abu Dhabi, marks a significant milestone in our preparations for the upcoming season.

Every auction presents a fresh opportunity to refine our squad and reinforce key departments. With a total of 246 Indian and 113 overseas players set to go under the hammer, the pool offers significant depth as we aim to build a well-balanced unit.

We enter the auction with a purse of INR 22.95 crores to fill six remaining slots in our squad. Of these, up to four may be allocated to overseas players, allowing us to target high-impact options from the international circuit while also maintaining a strong Indian core.

Ahead of D-Day, we made moves in the trade window by trading Shardul Thakur to the Mumbai Indians while bolstering our pace attack by bringing in Mohd. Shami from Sunrisers Hyderabad, whose skill adds significant value. Additionally, we acquired Arjun Tendulkar from the Mumbai Indians, a promising left-arm seamer raring to make an impact for us.

With these adjustments, our roadmap for the auction is clearly defined. As our think tank prepares for the big day in Abu Dhabi, we look forward to a strong showing at the auction in our quest to win our maiden IPL title.
