RPSG Sports Private Limited is the sports arm of the RP Sanjiv Goenka Group, one of India's largest conglomerates with an active presence in 35+ countries.

Formed in 2014, RPSG Sports came to being with an unwavering goal - breeding excellence within the sporting community of India. Having made multiple investments, the current portfolio of RPSG Sports includes the pathbreaking Lucknow Super Giants, the iconic Mohun Bagan Super Giant football club and the exciting Durban's Super Giants.

Lucknow Super Giants

RPSG Group owns the Lucknow Super Giants cricket team based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The Lucknow franchise was formed in 2021. LSG participates in the Indian Premier League and qualified for the playoffs in the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Dr Sanjiv Goenka is the principal owner of the team.

LSG is captained by KL Rahul and coached by Australian great Justin Langer. Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow is the home ground for the team.

Other Teams

  1. RPSG Group owns Durban's Super Giants, a cricket team based in Durban, South Africa. The franchise was formed in 2022 and it competes in the SA20 league. The team took part in the inaugural edition of the SA20 league in 2023 and reached the final in the 2024 edition. The team's home ground is the Kingsmead Cricket Ground. Dr Sanjiv Goenka is the owner of the team, Lance Klusener is the head coach and Keshav Maharaj is the captain.
  2. The Group's first sports asset was ATK - a football club based in Kolkata, which competed in the Indian Super League football competition. The license for the club was acquired in 2014 by a consortium that also included the celebrated Spanish football club Atlético de Madrid, which exited in 2017. The club is one of the eight original participating ISL teams. The Group acquired a majority stake in Mohun Bagan Football Club in 2020. The iconic club, established in 1889, has won 100 major titles to date. They have won the prestigious I-League title five times. The clubs were merged and played as one ATK Mohun Bagan FC in the ISL from 2020-21 onwards. In 2023, the team was rebranded as Mohun Bagan Super Giant.
  3. The Rising Pune Supergiant was a franchise that participated in the Indian Premier League in 2016 and 2017. The franchise had some of the biggest names in world cricket and went on to reach the IPL final in 2017.
