The Indian men's cricket team is on a rampant run in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, cruising past all four oppositions in the group stage to sail into the Super 8s.

Entering the competition as the defending champions, the Suryakumar Yadav-led side brushed aside the United States of America and Namibia by 29 runs and 93 runs, respectively.

Thereafter, the two-time champions won by 61 runs in a high-octane third clash where an all-round effort, led by Player of the Match Ishan Kishan’s whirlwind 77 off 40, extended our head-to-head record by 8-1 in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup history.

Facing the Netherlands in the final group stage encounter, the Men in Blue won the match by 17 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, courtesy Shivam Dube’s 66 off 31 and Varun Chakaravarthy’s 3/14 in three overs.

Next up - The Super 8s challenge!

Riding high on confidence, Team India will face South Africa, Zimbabwe and West Indies in Group 1 of the Super 8s beginning February 22, 2026.

First up would be a much-anticipated rematch of the 2024 Final against the Proteas at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, followed by a clash versus Zimbabwe.

The third fixture against West Indies will round up our Group 1 games. The Indian cricket team will be eager to avenge the semi-final defeat in the 2016 edition, which also happens to be the last head-to-head meeting between the two sides in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

As far as individual performances are concerned, Ishan Kishan and Varun Chakaravarthy have taken the tournament by storm. While the southpaw has amassed 176 runs in four innings, including two half-centuries, the spin wizard has claimed nine wickets in four outings at a staggering economy of 5.16.

We manifest Team India to continue their terrific run and go all the way and bring the trophy home!
