Our retention list is headlined by our captain and India’s Test vice-captain Rishabh Pant. Having showcased glimpses of his scintillating batsmanship and his impressive leadership qualities last season, Pant is set to continue his journey as the captain of the team heading into the new season.
Apart from Pant, Ayush Badoni, Himmat Singh, Mohsin Khan, Arshin Kulkarni, Prince Yadav, Shahbaz Ahamad, Avesh Khan, Akash Singh, Digvesh Rathi, M Siddharth, Abdul Samad, and Mayank Yadav will once again don our jersey in the upcoming edition of the IPL.
Among the overseas contingent, the franchise has retained Australia’s T20I captain Mitchell Marsh, West Indies’ flamboyant batter Nicholas Pooran, South Africa’s T20I skipper Aiden Markram and Matthew Breetzke for the IPL 2026 season.
Meanwhile, David Miller, Ravi Bishnoi, Aryan Juyal, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Yuvraj Chaudhary, Akash Deep, Will O’Rourke and Shamar Joseph have been released by the franchise.
All-rounder Shardul Thakur has been traded to the Mumbai Indians for INR 2 crore. On the other hand, lethal Indian pacer Mohammad Shami, a Purple Cap winner, has been traded in from the Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 10 crore, bolstering our bowling unit. Arjun Tendulkar has also been roped in from Mumbai Indians for INR 30 lakhs.
Having roped in legendary New Zealand cricketer Kane Williamson as our strategic advisor for the IPL 2026 season, the Super Giants will aim to add more match-winners to the squad in the forthcoming mini auction to assemble a title-winning squad.
While we have previously finished fourth in the IPL 2022 and 2023 seasons, the Super Giants are now ready to go further and clinch our maiden title in 2026.
