Lucknow Super Giants went down by 54 runs against Punjab Kings in our sixth match of TATA IPL 2026 at the New International Cricket Stadium, New Chandigarh.

Opting to field first, it proved to be a difficult outing with the ball as Punjab Kings posted a formidable 254/7 in their 20 overs. Manimaran Siddharth and Prince Yadav were the standout performers for the Super Giants, picking up two wickets each.

In response, Mitchell Marsh and Ayush Badoni began the chase by stitching a 61-run opening partnership in the powerplay, providing early momentum. Thereafter, Captain Rishabh Pant followed it up with a brisk 43 off 23 deliveries, striking four sixes and attempting to keep the chase on track.

However, with the required rate climbing steadily, the target eventually proved out of reach despite the efforts of the batters. At the end of 20 overs, the team finished at 200/5.

The result marks another challenging outing for the Super Giants, who will look to regroup ahead of our next fixture.

The boys will now turn their attention to our next match against the Rajasthan Royals on April 22 at Ekana, raring to return to winning ways.
