Biography

Prerak Mankad, the enterprising all-rounder from Saurashtra, has been a consistent performer at the domestic level over the last few years. He has been a key figure, with his steady batting and off-spin, in Saurashtra’s recent domestic success.

As a promising young cricketer, Mankad made his first-class debut in the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy final, wherein he scored a gritty half-century against Mumbai. He was also a vital cog in the team’s two Ranji Trophy final wins against Bengal in 2019/20 and 2022/23.

Meanwhile, Mankad was the leading run-scorer for the team in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He amassed 182 runs and picked eight wickets in Saurashtra’s Vijay Hazare Trophy triumph in the 2022/23 season.

Mankad was picked in the Indian T20 League 2022 mega auction by the Punjab franchise. Now, donning the blue for the City of Nawabs in 2023, Mankad is expected to make a positive impact for the Lucknow Super Giants.
