4/16 v DC
July 15, 1998
Left-arm medium fast
A few good spells is all one could expect from an uncapped youngster bought at the base price in the IPL 2022 auction. Mohsin Khan, however, was determined at Lucknow Super Giants to prove the doubters wrong after spending four years with Mumbai Indians without getting a game.
The left-arm pacer from Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh stepped up whenever his skipper KL Rahul asked him to deliver. Bowled the tough overs in the powerplay and the death and clinched 14 wickets from the nine games he played that season. All those wickets coming at an economy of under 6 runs per over. His IPL best 4/16 came against Delhi Capitals. Truly a debut season to remember!
Mohsin Khan, however, has not bowled since the IPL 2022 season due to left shoulder injury. He recently had the blood clots removed surgically and is set to miss the majority of IPL 2023 season.
The 25-year-old represents Uttar Pradesh in first class cricket.
