Biography

From age-group cricket to the domestic stage, Akshat Raghuwanshi has shown the temperament and skill of a future star. Introduced to the sport at a very young age by his father, he developed into a technically sound right-handed batter, rising quickly through the ranks and eventually captaining Madhya Pradesh in the Under-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy.

Akshat made a strong start to his professional career in the 2021-22 Ranji Trophy season. On his first-class debut for Madhya Pradesh, he announced himself with a century against Meghalaya, followed by a half-century in his next game, underlining his ability to adapt to the level with ease. Later in 2022, he added T20 and List A debuts to his resume. Known for his fearless approach and composure under pressure, he has earned praise from senior players, including Madhya Pradesh veteran Venkatesh Iyer.

Raghuwanshi truly grabbed the spotlight with his performances in the Madhya Pradesh Premier League, showcasing his ability to score quickly and dominate attacks. Those performances made him a sought-after name ahead of the auction for the IPL 2026 season. After a bidding battle, Lucknow Super Giants secured his services for INR 2.2 crore.
