Lucknow Super Giants will square off against the Punjab Kings in our sixth fixture of the TATA IPL 2026 on April 19 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh. The match will start at 7:30 PM IST on a double-header Sunday.

Facing the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the previous match, the trio of Mitch Marsh, Ayush Badoni and Mukul Choudhary played handy knocks with the bat to power the team to 146/10 in 20 overs. However, despite the efforts of our bowlers to defend the total, the opposition emerged victorious by five wickets.

Nicholas Pooran opined on the result in the post-match presentation and said, “It's T20 cricket. It's a tough game to stay consistent as well. But the guys have been really working hard and the credit goes to them. We'll try to fight it out. And I just believe it's a matter of time. Just have to stay patient, be ready for when the opportunity comes and take on the responsibility with it as well.”

With that belief, the Super Giants have arrived in Chandigarh with an aim to get back on winning ways.

Our upcoming opponents, PBKS, are fresh from their win over the Mumbai Indians and our never-back-down attitude is all set to make it an entertaining contest between the two teams.

In the last win over Punjab Kings in 2024, debutant Mayank Yadav bagged 3/27 and played a pivotal role in defending the 200-run target, claiming the Player of the Match award in the process. Taking inspiration from that victory, the Super Giants will look to pocket a positive result this time out and make progress in our quest for Playoffs qualification.

The head-to-head record, which stands at 3-3 ahead of the clash, highlights the evenly matched battles between the two franchises. It’s now time to take the lead when we step on the field on Sunday evening!

All said, the unwavering support of our fans will be paramount in our efforts to bring back the winning momentum. LSG Brigade, let’s back our team on Sunday and make it a memorable outing for the Super Giants, while we seek that much-needed W.
