The memories of our first win of the season are still fresh with us and the boys are raring to turn it into a streak.

Having downed PBKS for our first home win this Saturday, we’re on the road to take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday. The match starts at 7:30 PM IST.

Our sensational weekend win against PBKS deserves a suitable encore and picking up our first away win of the season at the Chinnaswamy seems like the perfect way to do it.

Also, we’re also bringing one Mayank Yadav with us too. Mayank’s phenomenal debut against PBKS had the world stand up and take notice and our young gun will be eager to follow up with an impression against RCB as well. So, do hold on to these helmets Bengaluru.

Quinton de Kock’s return to form against PBKS will also be a big positive for us and we all know what the South African maestro is capable of when on song. KL Rahul fell cheaply against Punjab but trust our kaptaan to come good against Bengaluru.

KL loves playing against RCB and tallies 628 runs against them in 14 IPL innings with an impressive strike rate of 144.03. He averages an astonishing 69.77 against RCB - how’s that for domination?

Nicky P and Krunal’s form with the bat are also big boosts for us going into the contest. Devdutt Padikkal, too, looks due for a big innings.

News from RCB camp

RCB do boast of a formidable batting line-up, featuring the likes of captain Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, the IPL 2024 Orange Cap holder at the time of writing, Glenn Maxwell and Dinesh Karthik. However, in Mayank, Mohsin, Naveen and the wiley Ravi Bishnoi, we have a bowling line-up to trouble any team in the IPL.

Yash Dayal has been the Challengers’ top performer with the ball this campaign with three wickets.

RCB come into the match on the back of a loss to KKR after winning their opening two games of the season.

RCB VS LSG history

We don’t have the best of records against RCB, having lost three and won one of our four IPL meetings so far. However, we did win in the only match we played in Bengaluru.

A last-ball thriller at the Chinnaswamy last season saw us chase down 213 courtesy batting masterclasses from Stoinis and Nicky P. It’s still the highest successful run chase in the IPL at the venue.

Stats that matter

  • KL Rahul is 37 runs away from 1000 runs for LSG in IPL.
  • Quinton de Kock needs 35 to complete 3000 runs in the IPL.
  • Nicholas Pooran needs two sixes to achieve 100 sixes in the IPL.
  • KL Rahul needs five sixes to complete 300 sixes in T20s.
