After a short break, our Super Giants will be aiming to secure a crucial win against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in our penultimate home game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season on Monday to strengthen our playoffs chances. The evening clash will start at 7:30 PM IST.

The match was earlier scheduled to be held on May 18 but was later postponed after the BCCI suspended the tournament for one week due to cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan.

Under the leadership of Rishabh Pant, we have accumulated 10 points from 11 games and are in contention for an IPL 2025 playoffs spot.

Heading into the SRH game at our fortress, the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, our boys will be determined to add two more points to our tally to bolster our IPL 2025 playoffs chances.

A win over the Sunrisers will not only keep our IPL 2025 playoffs hopes alive, but will also provide our players with some much-needed confidence before our final league games against Gujarat Titans (GT) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

Meanwhile, we will look to complete a season double over SRH after registering a commanding five-wicket victory in our previous meeting in IPL 2025 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Opting to bowl first, we rode on Shardul Thakur’s four-wicket haul to restrict the Sunrisers to 190/9 in their 20 overs.

Apart from Shardul, the likes of Prince Yadav, Digvesh Rathi, Ravi Bishnoi and Avesh Khan chipped in with one scalp each.

Later, Nicholas Pooran (70), Mitchell Marsh (52) slammed fifties, while Abdul Samad smashed an unbeaten 22 off just eight deliveries to guide us to a comprehensive win in Hyderabad.

Talking about individual performances, Pooran has been our leading run-scorer in IPL 2025 with 410 runs in 11 matches.

Our opening duo of Mitchell Marsh (378 runs) and Aiden Markram (348 runs) have also been amongst the runs in the ongoing tournament.

In the bowling department, Shardul Thakur and Digvesh Rathi have been our top wicket-takers in IPL 2025 with 12 scalps each.

Avesh Khan (10 wickets) and Ravi Bishnoi (9 wickets) have also made significant contributions with the ball for us.
