As part of its vision of supporting, grooming, and developing young cricketers in Uttar Pradesh and across the country, IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants are delighted to announce the launch of the first Lucknow Super Giants Academy in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The academy is being launched with UK-based cricket education firm CricFitSport (CFS), and will provide young, aspiring cricketers with modern, world-class coaching to help realise their potential. This is LSG's first academy, with plans of multiple others currently in the works.

Part of the Sanjiv Goenka-owned RPSG Group, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) was founded ahead of IPL 2022, where it reached the playoffs, and are currently pushing for their second consecutive top-four finish. They are one of three sports teams owned by RPSG Sports, with current Indian Super League champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant and SA20's Durban's Super Giants being the other two.

LSG's first-team coaching setup includes the likes of Gautam Gambhir (Global Mentor), Andy Flower (Head Coach), Vijay Dahiya (Assistant Coach), Morne Morkel (Bowling Coach), Jonty Rhodes (Fielding Coach), and Pravin Tambe (Spin Bowling Consultant), who will be guiding and working closely with the coaching team at the new academy. Additionally, other members of the support staff and analytics team will be working with the academy too. Regular trials will be held for the developmental squad (including net bowlers and others) as well, who will be continuously monitored and supported by the franchise.

The academy is open to both boys and girls, of Age 7 and above, and will also be open to adults looking to improve their game for local or recreational tournaments. Speaking on the launch, LSG CEO Col (Retd) Vinod Bisht said, "A huge part of our long-term vision for the Super Giants is to nurture and develop cricket talent across the length and breadth of Uttar Pradesh, and eventually across the country. We're looking to bring global best practices in cricket coaching to this and all our other academies in the future, in order to groom young talent for the ever-evolving cricketing landscape, and ensure we can accelerate their growth at the grassroots level."

Ashish Baluja, Founder of CFS, said, "After CFS’ success in the UK, and in an effort to develop and expand a cohesive ecosystem of global partnerships, we are now aiming to cultivate young cricketing talent within India. In our partnership with Lucknow Super Giants, we will bring forth our years of experience in not only training but also nurturing the passion of Indian youth in cricket, thereby shaping millions of dreams into reality."

The academy is located near Depot Metro Station in Greater Noida, and is already operational and open for aspiring cricketers. Anyone keen to join can register their interest here: https://www.lucknowsupergiants.in/academy-form
