TATA IPL 2026 Auction round-up: Squad locked, hunt for our maiden trophy begins now
Our TATA IPL 2026 auction campaign marked a decisive step in shaping the final pieces of our squad ahead of the upcoming season.
Heading into the auction with a purse of INR 22.95CR to fill six remaining slots, our objective was clear: add depth, balance and match-winning quality to the retained core. The auction presented us with the opportunity to act with clarity and conviction, and our think tank ensured that every move aligned with our vision.
We began proceedings by welcoming Sri Lankan sensation Wanindu Hasaranga for INR 2CR.
Thereafter, South African Anrich Nortje emerged as our next pick as the pacer, attracting a winning bid of INR 2CR. His signing underlined our intent to invest in proven quality while strengthening the bowling department.
With four more slots available for us, we moved decisively to fill two of them. We brought in Mukul Choudhary for INR 2.20 crores and local boy Naman Tiwari for INR 1 crore, enhancing the young talents in our squad for the upcoming season.
After the break, we signed all-rounder Akshat Raghuwanshi for INR 2.2CR after an intense bidding war, which started at a base price of INR 30 lakhs, with Sunrisers Hyderabad. He is slated to make his TATA IPL debut this season.
Our final buy in the auction was sealed after another bidding battle with SRH, securing Aussie power-hitter Josh Inglis for a whopping INR 8.60CR.
Overall, we signed six players, completing our squad with a blend of experience and potential. With our roster now locked and loaded, we head into TATA IPL 2026 with renewed energy and determination, fully focused on bringing home our maiden trophy.
