TATA IPL 2026: LSG vs GT preview - Time to carry the momentum and make it three on the spin
Riding high on an unbelievable night at the Eden Gardens, the Super Giants will face off against the Gujarat Titans in our fourth match of TATA IPL 2026 on April 12 at our home ground, Ekana! The fixture will kickstart at 3:30 PM IST.
Heading into the GT clash, the boys are brimming with confidence thanks to a thrilling three-wicket triumph over KKR. When the prospects looked grim, it was Impact Sub Ayush Badoni’s mature 34-ball 54 that kept us in the game.
However, it was Mukul Choudhary’s unbeaten 54 off 27 that took us over the line under nail-biting circumstances. With 30 needed off the final two overs, the 21-year-old rising star took matters into his own hands and finished the game.
“I focus on the opportunity, not the pressure. My plan was simple - I wanted to stay till the end. I trust myself that if I remain not out till the last, I can win the game. I just focus on playing my shots. If the ball comes into my area, I’ll hit it. The rest, whatever happens, happens,” said Mukul Choudhary following his heroics.
Turning our attention to the GT Test, we have a 3-4 head-to-head record against them. However, we have won each of the previous three games versus the Gujarat outfit, giving us a confidence boost ahead of the clash.
Our Bison smashed a magnificent century last time out, scoring 117 runs off 64 deliveries to help the Super Giants register a comfortable 33-run victory at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Moreover, Nicholas Pooran has pocketed two half-centuries in the last two games against GT and will look to return among runs when he takes the field at Ekana.
LSG Brigade, let’s ensure 100% attendance at Ekana and the deafening AB APNI BAARI HAI chants when the two teams step out on Sunday afternoon as Rishabh Pant’s boys aim to make it three successive wins to boost our early prospects of Playoffs qualification.
